Eco-efficiency as a strategy for sustainability and competitiveness in contemporary organizations

Its relevance stems from the optimization of natural resource use and the minimization of environmental impacts, while simultaneously seeking to reduce operational costs and promote innovation. The objective of this research is to present a more in-depth analysis of the implications and opportunities offered by eco-efficiency in the business context, contributing to the construction of a future with greater sustainability and environmental resilience, as well as the benefits it can provide to both companies and the environment. The research is applied in nature, with an exploratory approach and a literature review. The results indicate that the implementation of eco-efficient practices in companies brings several tangible and intangible benefits. Among the tangible benefits, the reduction of operational costs due to the more efficient use of resources and the reduction of waste and emissions stand out. Among the intangible benefits are the improvement of corporate image and consumer acceptance, and the strengthening of innovation capacity within companies.
